Found this cute white hickory tussock moth caterpillar in Texas Seguin a few years back – of course, like a kid, I couldn’t help my self and touched it. It’s the pain. It is instant and immediate, and it’s very intense. How can something so cute burn that bad?? No warm and fuzzy here 😉

Nice photo and a good warning. A lot of caterpillars are like this. Unless you know what it is, you shouldn’t touch any of them.
