Love ItLove It

The middle spotted woodpecker

In this winter time, we cannot forget about the wild birds. It’s cold and it’s snowing and the birds cannot find the food. It’s on us to provide the feed and make sure they don’t starve.  They really love the sunflower seeds!!

Although they aren’t seen very commonly because they usually hide high up in the trees, a sight like this is treasured.

  1. I feed the birds year round but have only once seen a woodpecker like this. But could not get a photo. He was too quick. How beautiful and a great reminder for all to feed and water the birds. I get the ice out of the bird bath every day during the winter so they can have fresh water.
