Indiana college wrestler rescue a cat that was drowning in an icy lake

Three cheers for Wabash College amateur  wrestler Darden Schurg (pictured) who is 21 years of age who risked his life on Christmas Eve to jump into an icy Lake George in Hobart Indiana when his dad told his son that a cat that was on the other side of lake fell into the icy water.

Keep in mind that when Darden made his decision to jump into the icy lake to rescue the cat, he was shirtless and wearing his swimming trunks as he swam from his part of the lake to other side of the icy where the cat was hanging on for his dear lives by having two of his claws above the lake but struggling to stay over the surface of the lake.

Darden who like his father adores nature and animals made the decision to save the cat even the cat when Darden reached out to get the cat of the icy lake, sneering at Darden. Darden took the noise of the cat as his way of saying “Thank you for saving my life friend.”

Darden was able to get the cat out of the icy lake. The cat then walked away from the icy lake thanking his lucky stars that someone was there to save his life.

Darden only suffered cuts and scrapes to his hands, head and chest. Due to the success of the D C E U movie “Aquaman” that stars Jason Momoa as the undersea superhero, Darden is being nicknamed the same name of the D C Comics hero.

In my opinion, it fits him like a tee shirt.

  1. I agree with you Ghostwriter since Daren admitted if his dad was not there to watch over him, he doubts that he would have attempted to rescue the cat in the icy lake.
