My pet peeve is stripes and dots. I’m a big horse lover, so I guess the step from that to ZebraZzz ain’t big. So lets do some stripeZzZZ with my favorite striped animal, the Zebra
Zebras are generally thought to have white coats with black or brown stripes. Because the stripes end at their bellies and the inner side of the legs, which are white. However, zebras have black skin under their white coats! And all stripes sequence are different both per animal and per species of zebra, their stripes are exactly like our finger prints 😀
Stripes work like camouflage, as they are pack animals when they are all together the predator cant single out one from the rest, do to their pattern gets visualizing confusing for the hunter. Zebras run in a zig-zag pattern when being chased by a predator to make it more difficult for the predator to run after them. When faced by predators, zebras will form a semi-circle and bit, nip or attack the predators if they come to close to them. They will also encircle an injured family member to protect it from further attack if the need arises.
So lets now take this information, OUT of the box, yes i often go outside the box….. Ok as you all know, prisoners in jail back in the day, wore striped suites…. So if we take the zebra logic to the prison, why on earth would they pick stripes???? We humans ain’t predators which gives we have a less good eye sight then a Lion.. I’m just throwing it out there 😉 LOL
Ok back to the Zebras Get your stripes ON
All this stripes are from Austin Texas, do note they are ALL free running, so this pictures involve a looot of time, unclear unfocused pictures, sneaking and stalking 😉 Game afoot>>>
If you look this one, it has dots on the ear tip, so for me that a double pointer as i got both stripes and dots ALL in one 😛
This female was real helpful, put up a great deal of poses for me, ain’t she pretty??
None of the close ups are taken with close-up lens, as you guess, its not like a zebra would just stand there while you go up to it and take a close up LOL 😛
So I have used my telezoom, Canon EF 70-300/4-5,6
Do you note there are actual dots up on the backside?
I hope you now, are as striped as I am and you had a nice time.
Thanks for your time. Any feedback is welcome.
