Flammulated Owl

I wrote about the flammulated owl yesterday and almost forgot to include a clip to show what it sounds like. This is more typical of what people think of when they imagine owl-calls and the call is soft. Considering how tiny this bird is, it really isn’t surprising that the call is as soft as it is. The voice is fitting for an owl like this and if “adorable” could be applied to an owl, the flammulated owl is probably the one it would apply to. Those eyes are almost mesmerizing.
