That tree in the photo is reputedly more than 500 years old. It is called balite here although I think the scientific name is picus or something. It is situated in the province of Baler, Philippines and considered one of the tourist spots there. Picture-taking is the order of the day and we were lucky to get a clear shot on the roots of that old balite tree. Visitors can get up the tree up to a height of 4 meters and there’s also a sort of a cave inside.

I think this is ficus tree. A banyan tree most likely.
I have seen a tree which is almost two hundred year old
I have had the opportunity to see trees that are very old. All old trees are amazing, that they survived!
