Abstract Photo Moto 78 is a short abstract art film that is based in abstract photography. It is part of an ongoing series called the Abstract Photo Moto Series. The films in the series are silent and are meant to be viewed as purely visual experiences.
Fine art filmmaking in the 1980’s was done using 8mm, Super8, and 16mm film stock. The films did not need to tell a story. They were often simply studies in light, shadow. rhythm, and motion. This series references those films by using the same methods used in analog moviemaking. However, they were filmed and edited with modern digital equipment. This one is fifty-five seconds long so it will be over before you know it. Sit back and enjoy an abstract composition in motion. It’s almost like hundreds of abstract photographs blended together.

Yes, as you might imagine I will be cutting nice little bits out of these first films and put them together for the new films. It’s going to be fun.
my work is generally studies in light, shadow, rhythm, and fanservice
I had to look up fanservice and learned something. OK, I am a bit out of the mix. One definition said to search images of “Agent Aika” as a pure fanservice example. Haven’t yet. Cool !
I wasn’t familiar with Agent Aika, but after a quick search I must take a back seat to their superior fanservice skills!
Oh man, I better go see. Is that 20 yet? I’m gonna go see right now.
fanservice is the otaku way of life
I love it seems like a great job
happy Saturday
Thanks so much – yes, I am having fun on these. I need to make more or want to anyway. Cheers
Thank you. I’ so glad that people watch them. You are very perceptive about the storm. This one inspired me to make even more of a storm in later one. Thank you so much.

Wow, i missed a whole movement and I wish I hadn’t.
Cool pictures! I remember my mothers old super 8 camera!
Thanks. If you can locate any of those films have them transferred. They chemically deteriorate – once they are digital info it’s preserved forever. Some day, when I convince myself I’m not leaving drivel I want to give stuff CC designation..
Movement wise – you know things are better remembered then they may have been. I think someone looked back and realized holy cow there’s a ton of these.
Sort of like thunder and lighting. Maybe because we have had those severe storms for over a week now. But the colors are always stunning in these videos.
Thanks Carol. You’re right – after this I made one with more of that effect to imply a storm. I think I was following this one or one like it. You know, that one went on FB and never was published on YT. Thanks for watching.
Unbelievable Video , Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for watching. I’m very glad it was enjoyable. Have a great day!
I would call it the animals during a thunderstorm. It starts with animals, and the change of color is like a grave storm.
