The surroundings of Peleș Castle and Pelișor Castle, Sinaia.
Peleş Castle and Pelișor Castle is located on the medieval road connecting the historical areas of Transylvania and Wallachia in Romania, at the foot of the Carpathians, on the outskirts of Sinaia.
Pelișor Castle was built in modern style by the Romanian King Carol I in 1899-1903.
It was built as a summer residence of the royal family.
Currently it is privately owned and is not open to visitors.
The two castles are built almost 500 m apart.
