I really don’t know where the questions come from. However, I have taught them to ask, research and find the answers they need. I said “I have no clue why someone decided to put honey in the shape of a bear. Is it important?”
“Is being curious a good thing?’
“Certainly.”
Then I guess we better get looking for answers.
So we went digging. The Gambers and Millers were two families who were in the business of selling honey. One night over dinner they were wrestling with ways to increase their sells. A.A. Milne, the creator of Winnie the Pooh, had passed away just a year before. People were still talking about the beloved characters and Pooh’s love of honey. Ralph Gamber thought the timing was right. After all Teddy Roosevelt has introduced teddy bears, when he spared the life a bear while hunting.
Inspired they designed and bottles and pointed hats. The women painted on the eyes and nose and well the rest is history.

I learned something today. Thank you. I sadly never thought about why honey comes in bears!
