In cased you missed it, in my heart my only goal was getting Mark home. In his particular situation with Lupus and other issues the most dangerous place for him to be is in a hospital. The new doctor, you know every shift change is a whole new experience, came in and I stated my case.
He said “You advocate well for your brother. You were passionate, professional and I agree. Let’s a find a way to get this man home with you tonight.” So we worked and worked hard. We walked the hospital pulling the pole, he ate food he hated. He did every exercise or task they asked (and only grumbled when he was alone with me.)
We did it. We got to bring him home.
