Max who is an eight year old male German Shepherd is being called a hero by his owner Miriam Rodriguez after Max started to bark in an excessive manner as a way to alert Miriam, her husband and two of their children that there house was going to burn up and end their lives if they did not get out of their home in Germantown Maryland.
Now the question is why did the smoke alarm not work inside since there was no smoke inside the home to alert the Rodriguez family that they were in any grave danger? The answer is that there was not any smoke that entered the home thus the smoke alarm did not work.
The investigators determined that the cause of the fire that burned down the Rodriguez home came from their fireplace. The Rodriguez family cat Lucy is missing since she fled away from the scene of the fire. The Rodriguez family are crossing their fingers that Lucy will return home soon.
Even though this story has a bittersweet ending since the Rodriguez family lost their home in a fire, at least thanks to their guard dog Max, they were able to save their lives.
The mostly scenario is that a local charity and the local community will assist the Rodriguez family find a temporary home until they can get back on their feet soon.

Dog intuition has been proven repeatedly in saving human lives.
Dog smarts are never to be underestimated.
You are absolutely right. Sometimes I want to take care of the dog again, unfortunately, it can’t be…
I know how you feel since losing Thunder II hurt me a lot. However having a dog like Poochie is great for me at this time. She is a mixed Black Labrador retriever and Rottweiler.
I’m glad you still have an agile friend there, Dee.
This one hit close to home, literally. Less than a mile from our house.
