They are small, they are very noisy, and they live around humans. They are pleasing to the eye and easy to photograph. They like to stay near the house of humans, but if they find enough fruit in the trees, they remain in the forested areas. Im talking about sparrows and …. today they are my choice for Saturday’s Critters challenge!“Look at the sparrows; they do not know what they will do in the next moment. Let us literally live from moment to moment.”Mahatma Gandhi

Do you know that noise could reduce the sparrow life expectancy?

Even with our cold weather, we are still getting a lot of House Sparrows in my neighborhood. I wouldn’t mind them so much but they are an invasive species in the USA and they kill a lot of our native species.
I did not know the sparrows could kill other birds. Our sparrows live in good understanding with the other birds.
They are known for going into bird houses or other nesting cavities and destroying the eggs.
Our sparrows do not do that! It seems that your sparrows are “imperialist” !!!(just kidding)
LOL. They are nowhere near as bad as our crows. Those guys are nasty.
The crows are a problem im my area, too!
Gandhi’s quote goes a long way to explain India’s overpopulation problem. We can’t live moment to moment, we must plan for the future…
I’m in the age when I just want to enjoy the moment. I get life as it comes. I’m not making plans anymore.?
I guess that’s okay if you aren’t running for office
I did that too many years, now it’s time to enjoy my rest of life.
I hope you can enjoy it to the fullest
A good photo to deliver the wise message.
Thank you, Albert! Did I tell you that you are a very nice person and a very good friend??? You have a nice comment for everyone!
What I know is that it is not easy to post something, anywhere, especially with everything that must be original, and that is an effort that needs to be appreciated, especially if the contents do convey beauty, wisdom, thought, benefits, etc.
I see too many and they need to leave before the bluebirds arrive. Still a lovely image.
Are they dangerous for bluebirds?
