Sofia – transition between day and night.
Central Military Club.
The construction of the club began in 1895 on land bought for 180 000 golden leva. Designed and built on a project by the Czech architect Antonin Kolar in the style of Neorenesans, the building was completed in full by the Bulgarian architect Nikola Lazarov in 1907.
It is situated at the intersection of 2 main roads in Sofia – “Tsar Osvoboditel” Blvd. and “Georgi Rakovski” Str.
It is among the cultural “icons” of Sofia, where it hosts many events such as concerts, exhibitions, meetings, theatrical productions, ceremonies and more.
A wonderful building as well as the city of Sofia
The building is nice, but the city is overwhelmed…
That’s Really cool Looks!!!
I’m glad you like it : )))
Yes, Welcome sir!!!
🙂
that thing looks like it was built to last
There was an idea that another such building would be built in the street, but the project was stopped.
too expensive? too imposing?
Fight for power in the early 20th century
as opposed to the fight for power a century later?
such a historical building.
In the central part of the city there are quite interesting old buildings. This is one of them.
Beautiful architecture of this building.
It is definitely more enjoyable than glass and concrete…
Sofia is a very nice place just like this building-wonderful
There are many old and beautiful buildings, but in the last 20 years have been raised and quite modern.
