While headed to work, I had a little time to spare so I stopped in at Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park where there are many of these unique looking sculptures. My most recent share from this park was ‘Katia’ by Curt Brill, which you can view here. Today’s feature is titled ‘Survival’ by Becky Guttin. When I first saw this sculpture the first thing that came to mind was junkyards and radiators, because of its inner interior and rust, but you may think different.
Per, Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park the artists requests that we sit inside of this circular environment of discarded and recycled materials and think about the “survival of our planet” and how it won’t survive if we continue filling it up with all the “things” we throw away.
