I am perfecting a specialty in my photographs. Especially with a challenge that goes for 365 days, it’s hard to find new subjects especially on a drab winter day. Even in the most flat light, I’ve learned you can isolate an image in nature and find its character.
What lies in the distance becomes a beautiful, often colorful blur that is indiscernible. In the midst of the gray afternoon and after most of the leaves of autumn are gone, I find berries, stragglers oaks and sumac leaves and other colorful objects that I can isolate from the landscape.
My intention is to have a collection of these isolated objects and in the future do large print outs that can be matted and framed. My desire is to bring nature into people’s homes but not the obvious natural scenes, instead the abstract shapes we might have missed on a drab winter day.
It is amazing to see the world behind a photographer’s eyes — the goal to see beyond the superficial
I love the way you have expressed your emotions in this photos.
