It is funny how family holiday celebrations evolve. There was a time when I dreaded the eve of Christmas. It meant we would be up until 2 or 3 in the morning assembling toys. Those days are past now, thank you!
What has continued is our tradition of watching holiday movies. There are a few mandatory movies for our holiday season. We’ve added some in the years, one of those additions is the exceptional holiday “The Santa Clause” starring Tim Allen. The movie takes a non-traditional start to a holiday or seasonal movie and then brings you into a wonderful and magical world of fun.
It is my third all-time favorite Holiday movie. It is the newest of the movies on my all-time favorite list.
The movie joined our family holiday tradition about three years after we had seen in the theaters. We’ve gone through a VHS version and a DVD version of the movie. We have all three, but the first one remains my favorite.
I give The Santa Clause, 5 out of 5 stars!
