Some photos from Gompers Park, Chicago, Illinois

There are a lot of very nice parks within Chicago’s city limits. They vary in size between one that is only a few feet on each side and is located at the base of an entrance ramp to one of our expressways up to Lincoln Park which runs for more than six miles along the Lake Michigan shoreline on the north side of the city.

One of the nicer parks is Gompers Park which is located at Foster and Pulaski Avenues on the city’s northwest side. It contains two lagoons connected by a small creek. The North Branch of the Chicago River also runs through it.

It is an excellent place to go for birdwatching, checking out wildflowers or to spend the day fishing.

Here are a couple of photos I took there.

  1. STunning, again. Love the contrasting colors once again, on the top photo. That pink with the golden hour and fall colors. Wow. The park bench is so inviting isn’t it? Love the black and white as well. Your awesome!
