I found Kinton Ramen after searching for sushi restaurants near my neighborhood in pursuit of gaining Yelps sushi sensei badge. Kinton Ramen just happened to be top of the search list which led me to looking at what it had to offer.
Featured is the pork miso ramen which I contemplated on between it and the vegetarian ramen, but the pork miso ramen won my taste buds over. I vowed to the waitress I would try the vegetarian ramen on a later date which just gives me a reason to return to this beautiful Japanese hub located in Wicker Park Chicago.

my first exposure to ramen, made the Japanese way was in Tokoyo. There it is considered rude if you don’t slurp!
great shot, looks really good!
And I had plenty of slurping going on, especially with that big dipping spoon. That broth was yum!
i remember getting Udon noodles in Tokoyo and tasting them (and the broth) thinking I’ve never had this in my life.
i have eaten those noodles my whole life, but the Japanese version – spectacular!
Reason why I need to start shopping at Asian grocery stores. The noodles
the rice to pal, the rice is so much better
That looks very good. Was there a lot of fat on the pork?
No, but it was filling. I’ve been trying to plan my return, but I will have to wait until this pandemic crap is over.
That sure is a mouthwatering dish!! slurp, slurp (lol)
And it was. Took me some time to finish it too because I utilized the chop sticks, lol
