This is a layered pudding meticulously prepared – a speciality of Goa. The main ingredients are coconut juice, flour, egg yolk, nutmeg, and ghee.
Flour is mixed with coconut juice; egg yolks are then added one by one, mixing sugar and nutmeg completes the process.
It is then baked layer by layer and between each layer ghee is applied before placing them. The traditional pudding has 16 layers. No doubt a laborious process but worth it going by its taste.
It is normally eaten with a scoop of ice cream.
