Song thrush (Turdus philomelos).
The upper side of his body and the top of his head are olive-brown and the bottom is whitish.
There are drip spots on the abdomen, chest and groin.
Singing thrush is most commonly found in mountainous areas, inhabiting coniferous as well as deciduous and mixed forests, especially where the tree is predominant.
We have a song thrush like this in New Zealand. In fact, 2 weeks ago I saw one with a baby thrush in tow.
It is winter for us now. And we will be watching the young birds in the summer
I’ve searched these singing birds on YouTube, sounds like we have them in our property. Not sure. But I often whistle back at them by imitating their “singing” tweets.
They are always a source of happiness.
They really have a lot of good songs, especially during the marriage period.
