The Maui Invitational Quarterfinals begins Monday at the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui, Hawaii. Over the years, the Maui Invitational has become the best Thanksgiving tournament in college basketball. Whichever team wins this tournament usually has a good season. For example, Gonzaga won this tournament last season, and the Zags ended up in the Elite Eight. This tournament will let you know if a powerhouse team will be dominant or not throughout the season or if a mid-major will be a Cinderella team this season. Here are the four games that will be played on Monday.
Georgia vs Dayton
Virginia Tech vs Michigan State
Kansas vs Chaminade
UCLA vs BYU

do you remember when Chaminade beat Ralph Sampson and number one Virginia in the Maui? I think Michigan State has the most complete team in the event.
Tom Crean (Georgia) rarely beats his old boss (Izzo)
Yes, I do – Chaminade pulled the upset over 30 years ago. I never could understand that Virginia team because Sampson is 7’4″, but they never passed him the ball. That explains why the Cavaliers did not win the championship until last season. Georgia won’t even have a chance to play Michigan State because Dayton is now winning by 20 over the Bulldogs.
upsets are always fun, this one is going to be interesting!
I think Georgia will win
I like Georgia to win as well. I always root for Coach Crean.
