A couple of weeks ago I went to a park and the sight of the beautiful star phlox growing in abundance caught my eye. I loved the vibrant colors of the flowers and the beautiful stars in the middle filled my heart with joy.
This line from Keats’ poem Endymion came to mind, ‘A thing of beauty is a joy forever always’. I like the fact that though after the rain those flowers would be beaten to the ground (And such too is the grandeur of the dooms’, quoting again from the same poem) the picture preserves the beauty of the flowers in all their glory.

They are indeed, thanks for stopping by.
Very nice photo, dear friend
Thank you dear Lado, I was so happy seeing those flowers in bloom.
It’s a great pleasure, my dear friend … but it’s not nice when these little things make you happy
My neighbor has these in her garden of all colors.
You do have a very colorful neighbor Carol. Lucky you.
I used to grow snap dragons, cosmos, larkspur, lady lace, and phlox.
I still do, but they look lovey in bushes. They some how get lost in containers.
There was a time I used to grow many seasonal flowers and phlox was one of them.
Why you don’t grow them anymore?
The conditions in my garden these days – may be because of trees around – could be the reason they do not do well
I understand , too much shade maybe.
