Son of Really Miscellaneous Quiz About Nothing in Particular

28 Dec 2017

Here’s another one of my random quizzes. I do these when a good question for a quiz pops into my head but I can’t come up with enough other good questions on the same topic. I didn’t actually intend to finish it tonight but, once I got started, well, you know the story.

It’s not an easy quiz. What fun would that be.

  1. I got 7/10, Gary. That was a great quiz. Can you give us any background on question #1? (I wonder did everyone recognise that it was the Who you were talking about? 🙂 )

    • The song starts off quietly and the drums don’t come in until the middle. Moon loved the song and would often start singing along without even realizing it. The problem was that he had a horrible singing voice and it ruined the performance so they rest of the band made him walk offstage until he was needed.

I never got to to see the band live but I did see one of their concerts on TV and had a concert bootleg. In both cases you could hear Pete Townsend say “Moon, out!” before performing the song.
