Here’s a quiz to test your knowledge of the current affairs. The statements comprising the questions in the quiz are actual headlines. You have to fill the blank with the name of the country where the particular event has taken place in recent weeks.
Note: I will tweak the headlines a little bit to make the quiz a bit more challenging.

You got 3 out of 8 right!
Only 4 correct, not very familiar.
A cool initiative from Turkey. But it shows how important it is to protect women from harassment.
Opinion is a bit divided even in turkey. Some women feel safer travelling in all-female buses. Some feels it shows how untrustworthy Turkish men are. But as a woman, I would prefer travelling in an all femail bus anytime
Yeah, you are literally safer there, without any doubt.
*I meant all-female bus. People are getting away with too many crimes and sexual harassment does not get as harsh a sentence as it should. It can especially hurt younger girls physically and emotionally for life.
Loved this quiz, but didn’t do so well!
Scores do not matter. If you enjoyed the quiz and got to know the world a bit better, then mission accomplished. 🙂
Do check out the initial three quizzes in the series too. They are listed above. Thanks!
I got only 4 out of 8. Awesome quiz!
Thanks ellie. Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
I got 5 out of 8. I liked this quiz, Dawn! Very interesting!
That’s a good score. Thanks for this positive feedback. it encourages me to keep the series going.
Four of eight in this great news quiz.
Thanks Deepizzaguy. I hope you had a look at the initial three news related quizzes as well.
Just 3/8 – I’m here in India where they celebrated Diwali two nights ago. I’m presuming this festival is the one that sparked debate over the use of fireworks. Jodhpur, the city I’m in, definitely has no ban on them anyway, the sky has been completely lit up with fireworks for 2 days now
I think It was banned in capital New Delhi by Supreme Court because of air pollution. But as people consider fireworks an integral part of Diwali celebrations, I am not sure how effective the ban was.
I think I read that while sale of fireworks was banned in Delhi, their use wasn’t, so this must have incensed the fireworkwalas even more!
7 out of 8. I didn’t hear about the last one. Well done with another gripping episode 🙂 Looking forward to Part 5 !
InshaAllah next Friday or Saturday. I hope the world is a kinder, happier place for my next quiz 🙂 Thank you for your encouraging words, as always.
I Got 6/8 Right Now!!!
Great score. I hope you are enjoying the quiz series.
I got 4 out of 8 right!
I always get 4 on the BBC quiz so I am going to say very well done indeed, Albert.
ha… ha… ha… apparently we have something in common.
Haha, let’s focus of 4 and not consider the “out of” part.
Aye Aye Ma’am… Hopefully, I was able to keep the focus!
