Magazines are publications (typically periodical), which are currently both printed or electronically published (online).  They are, for the most part, published on a consistent schedule containing an assortment of content.

They are mostly financed by advertising, the magazine’s purchase price, prepaid subscriptions which keeps it alive.  The definition of word “magazine” refers to a ‘collection or storage location’.
