Yes, I have been changing my banner a lot. While the headdress that means something deeply important to me and probably won’t change anytime soon, the banner has become a way to say “Hey, I am here and something is a little different today. Today I am on stormy seas.” While my family tries to “help” they just make things more complicate. I can’t just drop everything and go to the doctor. There are things that need to be taken care of. So, it’s no surprise when finally I simply drop, and end up in the emergency room.
Since none of them have a job or responsibilities that they consider time sensitive they think I can do everything they think is important when they think it is important. They scheduled me a doctor’s appointment. I couldn’t go. I had commitments. So instead of the doctor two days later I am in the emergency because I collapsed in public place so they call an ambulance. I had no way to get home from the hospital. (People who really try to helpful sometimes are way off base.) So I walked 22 miles home after the doctor released me and told me to get some rest.
I felt like no one was listening to me all along. Then today I hear them trying to set up an appointment with the doctor again. They can’t do that. This cycle has to stop. Please stop trying to help, you are hurting me.
Someone I know can relate. Most people tell her to go to the hospital if she’s truly sick, but she has errands to run and can’t take a break at the moment.
I don’t really get how they fail to understand her, and these are busy people.
“Do you think that, if I had the time, I wouldn’t call and schedule an appointment myself?”
I feel you, and hope you can soon get some time to take care about your health.
