Rose After a Thunderstorm (2019-06-04 12-31-55_01)
04 Jun 2019
Chicago, Illinois
The rose was in a garden in a neighbor’s front yard.
The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera. Editing was done with Luminar Flex. I started by cropping the image to get rid of some extra space on the top. Then I used the RAW Develop filter to increase the contrast, highlights, shadows and clarity. Next I added the Accent AI filter and used the Tone filter to lower the SmartTone. Next I added the Details Enhancer and Denoise filters.

It rained quite a bit in Chicago this May. How was it where you live?

Rainier than normal.

For winter it rains but less than usual in New Zealand.
May was a record month in Chicago as far as rain is concerned. Of course our records don’t go back before the fire in 1871 so that’s not that big of a deal.
Stunning picture, love it.
Thank you very much, Dawn. I’m glad you liked it.
Superb photography as always. Love the raindrops. We have too much rain here.
Thanks, Carol. I appreciate it. We were supposed to have a thunderstorm this afternoon but it went just to the north of us. We could see it but got no rain.
This is something very unique flower , i have never seen before
It’s pretty much like any other rose but the color is a little unusual.
It is something unique and the drops make it perfect
Thank you. I appreciate your comments.
