I am not sure that work-life balance and work – life separation really works at all. As much as I may try to leave work at work and home at home they often overlap. A family member is in the hospital and there is a mandatory work meeting. I have to go and do my best to participate, but am I all in? No my thoughts are elsewhere.
I think it is a lofty goal and one that shouldn’t be lost, and realistically it can’t always happen.

It is often hard to leave work problems at work and not bring them home and also not bring home problems to work where you can find people to discuss your problems with.
There is a lot of crossover because I also work from home. Occasionally I have to put a reminder on the door “This is my workplace – you stay in our home.”
It’s never easy…
we can only try hard to find that balance
Sometimes I think it’s unhealthy to try too hard to do so.
It is some time very difficult to separate home and work life
