He went through my papers and books. I handwrite almost everything before I type it. I read that it uses a different more creative part of your brain. I don’t know if it’s true, still, it has become my habit. He stayed up most of the night reading the two books I have been working on. He is less than pleased with my work. He says it’s too personal and raw and I need to move forward and let go.
I am guessing he missed the whole concept was that writing the books would help me and maybe a few others, have more hope, change their life, even though it’s almost over and share a piece of their heart. (Proves that my writing must not be very concise because he missed the whole point.) Today I am faced with a choice. Do I keep writing and self publish these books that have been in heart for years or do I just put all the journals and writings out in the firepit, cook up some steaks and let those thoughts just bounce around in my head?
I am not kidding. I am serious. I need to make that decision today and as is typical, I am torn. What would it do to my heart if I wrote it and no one read it? Could that be the final straw? Am I that weak? I do believe that all people need to be heard, but I am a realist and that just doesn’t happen.
It’s decision time. Walk away and burn the journals and writing or do the hard word and publish the book that no one will buy and will remain unread.

I wrote a few tutorials on Amazon KDP and am now working on thriller novel. Dreaming that you die is never literal, and there are many ways to “die” symbolically, ie. Dying off bad habits.
It did grab my attention, I can say that.
I have often thought of writing a book. I keep a journal but not sure if I want to publish the personal notes. Your call!

I have read that accept all the advice you get but sieve through them and settle on advice that will benefit you. However, I believe we shouldn’t ignore all advices as long as they’re not diminishing. He has a point that you shouldn’t ignore to ensure success of your book.
And, no one who self publish their book know if their books will be sold in their hundreds. If you ever think about that, you will never write a book.
There is no certainty in life at all, that’s a given.
