Chicago, Illinois (Edgewater neighborhood)
Nikon Coolpix P7700
The tree was growing in the front yard of one of my neighbors. It used to be that about 4 or 5 of my neighbors grew Hibiscus. There were a variety of colors and one even grew the “dinner plate” cultivar which has very large flowers. I was pleasantly surprised when I came across this tree when I was out walking my dog this afternoon.
Editing was done using ACDSee Ultimate 2019. First I cropped the image to a 16:9 ratio. Then I adjusted the lighting and increased the contrast, clarity and saturation. I adjusted the levels, sharpened a bit and reduced the noise. Lastly I added a vignette.

Have never seen a white one, how beautiful. I have the red ones.
There used to be a bunch of different colors in my area a few years ago but, for some reason, they all disappeared.
I love the hibiscus flower but this is my first time seeing a white hibiscus.
This one was across the street from where I live but I saw another one today when I was running errands.
Yeah , Hibiscus is very famous here especially in out side the offices plot
I wish there were more office buildings around here that had a little garden area outside.
We have many varieties including a white which has now disappeared
Your photo is stunning.
Thank you, Grace. That’s a shame about the white ones disappearing.
