In photography the term shadow is used to describe the darkest parts of an image. Preoccupied with looking for light we fail to recognize the importance of the shadows in a photograph. We forget that most of the time we find mysterious things in the dark areas.
There is a mysterious presence in this photo I took a while ago. The light from outside casts the shadow of this flower on the curtain every day, but sometimes surprising shadows appear in the frame …..
I share this photo Wednesday shadows Challenge.

Great photo I have but one question is that a bird outside the window?
Thank you! The bird is outside. It was lucky that it passed in front of the window when I took the photo.
Well that was a heck of a bonus!! How cool is that, and I love the shadow of the plant as well. The bird just makes it perfect. 🙂
I’m the luckiest “photographer”. Otherwise, the bird could not be there when I click the shutter button.😀
I was just thinking that! I bet you grinned super big when you noticed it, and that it came out so clear! That is one of those once in a lifetime shots!
I was very happy! I’m not always lucky enough to catch a pigeon at my window!😀
I see a bird in the shadows. Nice shot.
It was lucky that it passed in front of the window when I took the photo.
I noticed the shadow of the bird on the curtain. I don’t take shadow photos. I have to start after the pandemic. I liked you.
You have good eyes. I love shadows. It is always a challenge to find special shadows.
That is a stunning presentation. Being a gifted photographer, you and your eyes notice everything while me and a whole of other persons just go by on our daily activities without noticing much around us. Thanks for sharing this with virily….
Thanks for appreciation. There are things that catch my eye without looking for them.
