The violets in the picture was planted not just for the show of the beautiful flowers but also to attract butterflies. Some people are fond of butterflies that instead of catching the butterflies and putting them in a glass cage, they just plant flowering plants in the garden for it is a natural attraction for butterflies.
With the use of butterflies in occasions where they release the butterflies to add a spectacle to the celebration, having a butterfly farm can be profitable. Butterflies multiply fast and they thrive as long as there are the flowers that they need for their survival. So if all the home gardens would have flowering plants then maybe there will be a good number of butterflies everywhere.

These are not violets , they are called Plumbago. We use them as hedge plants.
I do not see many butterflies around here. But, when I do, I like to watch them.
I like butterflies. They are usually beautiful to watch.
