This marigold is called vanilla fields. I love to mix this up with the french marigolds to give it some contrast. It is cream colored and beautiful when you see the whole bush of flowers. This variety grows quite tall (2-3 feet) unlike the french marigolds.
These don’t seem to have the distinct tiny yellow flowers in the middle like the others. These also seem to attract more butterflies than the others for some reason.
I like marigold because they are in bloom all through the year. These grow on their own , I just take the volunteer plants and put them in decent pots. These grow from flower heads that fall by accident and they get so crowded I keep two or three plants and throw out the others for lack of space.

Never seen this marigold before No I do not like macro photography
I love all kinds of photography , however I am not so keen on portraits;
I have still been experimenting with portraits too these days
They have such a poetic name!
The cream color against the dark green background of the leaves and the abundant flowers on the plant give it its name.
However the real color of the vanilla bean is deep brown. LOL
Haha, poetry doesn’t always need to reflect reality.
Poetry is reality elevated I would say 🙂
We only have marigold during the spring and summer here.
I thought as much, I always have volunteers any time of the year in my garden. There is enough sun to ensure blooming all year round.
I have a marigold in the garden but the flowers are yellow.
There are hundreds of varieties of marigold , I love the yellow ones too.
