My sister has been at my parent’s home going through things. She brought me some treasures. I love anything that is Mom’s handwriting. Even the note that she wrote for me when I skipped school. It was a good day. I spend the day with Mom when I skipped school. We even ordered pizza for lunch. When I came home from detention we decided it was all worth it as long as no one told Dad and we never did.
I begged her to write something so I would be excused. She said she would be happy to write me a note. I grabbed it as I head out the door and it was nicely folded up.
The principal handed it back to me and said: “That was really kind of her.”
I read it. “Hey, sorry you forgot how to get to the school yesterday. I guess they have something called detention to help you remember. I love you, Mom.”
I am actually going to frame that.

Yes and she often played pranks on us.
what a beautiful story. A double lesson your mom taught you!
We were so close. I miss her. She wasn’t perfect and she was the perfect Mom for me.
My mom remains someone I trust completely! she is amazing!
What I would give to have something written by my mother. Anything.
Well, you know that I broke out in happy tears when I saw it.
Your mum had a great sense of humor.
