It is a ritual here when the parish priest and his assistant will individually visit houses to bless them. A prayer will be recited for the wellbeing of the members of the household and together with family members the ceremony is concluded by singing a hymn, the choice of the hymn being that of the head of the family.
The priest will then spray holy water going around – a tiring process. The priest will then spend time chatting with the family. A donation is also given.

Now the number of houses has increased and we have only two priests. It is quite tiring for them
When you want your home to be blessed, it is visited by a church person. We have this custom in my country – Bulgaria.
They do that here once a year.
