I have been growing strawberries for a couple of years and there have been no real harvest. Last year we had a few which were eaten up by squirrels. However this year there seem to be a number of flowers and fruits. I just ate one which was so sweet and juicy. Last year they tasted a bit tart. I just added a bit of soda bicarb as advised by my friend and vola there we have sweet strawberries.
This bowl of strawberries was part of our breakfast at a hotel we stayed in. I enjoyed every day of my stay there because of these sweet, juicy strawberries. I always make ice creams and milkshakes with strawberries when they are in season. Strawberry preserve and fresh berries get into a lot of my baked dishes as well. Just straw berries and cream is awesome too.

I have strawberries in plastic pots. They are currently fruiting and lots of flowers coming up.
Do you have any special tips?
Strawberries and a little sugar or cool whip is good.

We have wild strawberries, they are very fragrant and flavorful.
That is so true, wild strawberries are indeed more flavourful.
I also have strawberries in the garden. I can hardly wait for them to start working.
