The grenade fruit from our garden

We have many fruit trees in our garden like custard apple, cashew, mangoes and even lime plants. But this fruit in the picture is unique because it looks like a grenade with a firing pin. Our star fruit tree has many fruits during the season that comes twice a year. But it is only now that I had harvested such a unique fruit in shape. That grenade fruit is edible and very sweet.

Just like in humans and animals where sometimes the offspring is not the same from the parents, plants have also that kind of phenomenon. But whatever the shape or size of the fruit, as long as it is edible and nice to eat then it wouldn’t matter to me.
