Friendship does not exist without reciprocity and without equality, regardless of the value, age, sex or qualities of each of the friends. The moment one feels above the other there is no friendship. Friendship does not exist without complete sincerity: you do not hide opinions about the people around you, about what you live or about your friend. If you have to hide something, it’s not friendship.(My thought tonight)

I have a handful of true friends who have kept in touch with me all these years. One of them who I have known since Grade 6 is the friend who offered me an apartment in her house when I lost my husband and wanted to move back to the US. I am now living above her in the same house. That is friendship from way back when as they say.
And if you have only one true friend, you are blessed. I am blessed with that friend. We have been in touch since kindergarten.
