Though it looks simple as it only requires a sponge cake not everyone can turn out what you see in the photo. Where one fails is when they try to make the roll. It cracks and so one needs a lot of practice.
When I was learning to make cakes the thought of making chocolate Swiss Roll was never on my mind. While I have successfully made different types of cakes even icing them I have failed miserably trying to roll the Swiss roll.
I have not given up.
