Sunrise over Namaqualand is as breathtaking as you see here in real life, I lived not far from here once. Namaqualand is an arid region of Namibia and South Africa, extending along the west coast over 1,000 kilometers and covering a total area of 440,000 square kilometers. It is divided by the lower course of the Orange River into two portions – Little Namaqualand to the south and Great Namaqualand to the north.

Never been to a desert. But watched sunrise and sunsets every day from my house on a hill.
I’m a sunrise, sunset nut and yours would be as authentic and as great as any dessert variety. It’s the artist that must get the honor. But of course, you already know and acknowledge that already. Thanks for commenting Country Mama
Your ‘desert variety’ of the sunset is so gorgeous to behold! So breathtakingly awesome! Yes, the Artist gets the honor!
Never been to a desert but have seen many sunrises.
Of course, you have, Carol. the question was more directed at folks who may have been in a desert. I spent 3 years as a soldier in the 1970s, in the oldest desert in the world, the Namib in the then, South-West Africa, (Namibia). There is a quality of solitude and desolation found in the desert at dawn and at sunset, seldom found in other areas
I can imagine the solitude and peace you felt in the desert. I have heard others speak of the same feeling.
