Today is Spasovdan, the glory of the city of Belgrade, hosted by the mayor, Zoran Radojicic. He reminded that Belgrade celebrates Spasovdan as its glory since the despot Stefan Lazarevic gave Belgrade the status of the capital in 1403.The Mayor urged citizens to take part in celebrating the city’s glory and liturgy as much as possible.Belgrade has been demolished for many centuries and has risen, so Spasovdan has many symbols and connections with the past of Belgrade, and I believe with a happy future.
Spasovdan is celebrated by liturgy in the Vaznesenjska church and lithium to the central city streets. Litija ends in the courtyard of the Vaznesenjska church, which symbolically closes the circle of lithium.
The Spasovdanska lithium will be moving along a steady path along the Belgrade streets. The first reading stand prays for the health of the citizens of Belgrade will be at the Terazije fountain, the second stand for prayers for saving from suffering, peace and progress at the church church, and the third stand for reading prayers for the sake of the soul to all the fallen heroes of Belgrade in the courtyard of the Vaznesenjska church.
