Nothing much when it comes to ingredients used but ‘soan papdi’ is just what those with a sweet tooth would want to relish. It is made of flour, sugar, ghee, cardamom and garnished with pistachio – that’s it but consistency is the name of the game. And one needs practice to produce that which will melt in one’s month. No. I have not tried it. I have no patience.
Each State has specialities and this comes from Uttar Pradesh. Bengal as you know is famous for the sweetest desserts one can taste. South India is more known for spicy snacks like masala dosa.
Come to India and savour various types of goodies. We have many States and every State boasts of its speciality.
