Shorter lines in the supermarket

When the lockdown was eased the other week, it was a fresh breath to the public that checkpoints have become lax and businesses were allowed to open. With that change, I have noticed that the long lines to the supermarket entrance had vanished. But there is still a waiting area for people to wait for the shopping area to be cleared of the crowd.

I wonder why the authorities did not think of this before. They made us suffer with the short operating hours of the food stores that people would line up as many as 100 people. That is a simple case of lack of common sense.
