This guy was sunning himself on the leaves this morning. With his shiny metallic coat on he looks like he is going to a party.
Being a cow fly I bet he will go for a ride on a cow or a buffalo that is around. We have seen a bunch of cows here lately walking across the street to the playground that has now become a huge puddle and over grown with grass. It isn’t party time as yet I guess and so he waits patiently. 😀

But these flies also live in our country, or they are just very similar … I like animals very much, some of them are very difficult to paint

Yes Lado they are indeed difficult to capture but not as hard as the butterflies.
But for a butterfly you really need time and good nerves, dear friend
