Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Tucson, Arizona (Pima County)
Pentax MX camera with an SMC-Pentax 135mm / f:2.8 lens using Kodak Kodachrome 64 color transparency film exposed at 1/125 of a second at f:11.
Scanned using a Wolverine F2D Mighty scanner.
Note the whirlwind in the background.
Editing was done with Luminar Flex 1.1. I used the Develop filter to lower the highlights and blacks and increase the shadows, whites and clarity. Then I added Accent AI, AI Sky Enhancer and Polarizer, decreased the vibrance and increased the vividness (Brilliance / Warmth filter). Lastly I used the HSL filter to increase the saturation and decrease the luminance in the blues and aquas and used the Erase tool to get rid of some dust spots.

I have never seen anything as beautiful as that photo. Amazing.
Amazing optics of light. Great photography!
Thank you very much. I appreciate your feedback.
Never seen a desert, except as a baby. Beautiful editing.
They’re rather intriguing.
i love the cactus – great capture of the whirlwind! Or was it the roadrunner? 🙂
Not seeing a roadrunner was my only disappointment in the trip.
Also didn’t see any of Wylie’s famous tunnel paintings.
Mr. Coyotes’ artwork is often removed!
Sacrilege! What a bunch of Bohemians.
they are amazing, but I have only seen them in the zoo.
Same here. In fact it was at this zoo. This place is fascinating. They only display wildlife from the area. They have animals breaking into it.
