Chicago, Illinois (Loop/Downtown)
Nikon Coolpix P7700
This station opened on 08 Nov 1896. It closed on 03 Sep 2017 and was subsequently demolished.
Editing was done with Luminar Flex 1.1. I corrected the perspective, cropped and used the RAW Develop filter to raise the color temperature, increase contrast and clarity, open up the shadows and lower the highlights, whites and blacks. Next I added the Accent AI filter and used the Tone filter to lower the SmartTone. I sharpened it a bit by using the Structure filter and added the Dramatic filter.

You rolled train station photos are priceless. Stunning view here.
Thanks. I’m glad you like them.
I like those old stations but the new ones are more practical.
Very true. The new ones are handicapped accessible. I would not be albe to get on this station had I not gotten off the train there.
Any place that is old looks beautiful to me.
I feel that way also.
I like these old stations. The train station in my town was opened in 1884.
Chicago had streetcars that ran at ground level and, of course, was a major railroad hub, but we didn’t get elevated trains until 1893 when the Columbian Exposition opened up. This is one of the earliest stations that were built.
