Poll: Yogurt Pots

Ingredients 

  • 150g natural yoghurt

Flavoring ideas

  • 50g rolled oats
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened breakfast cereal
  • 1 tablespoon pine kernels, sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon flaked almonds
  • 1 tablespoon sultanas or raisins
  • 1 piece fresh fruit (chopped apple or sliced banana)
  • 50g chopped fresh apricots or figs
  • 1 small can peach, pears or pineapple (in natural juice and no added sugar), drained and chopped
  • 1 stewed or pureed apple with a sprinkling of ground cinnamon
  • 50g chopped dried fruit.

Procedure 

Add one or more of the flavorings to the yogurt and stir to mix.

Having fruit with your breakfast to start the day well. One portion ‘fistful’ of fruit contains less than 1g of fat and no more than 100 calories. So choose from these two tropical fruit combination (2 servings), preparing the fruit as necessary and mixing with the fresh fruit juice:

1 mango, 2 pineapple slices, 1 kiwi fruit, 250ml pineapple juice: or 4 passion fruit, 2 slices of melon, 1 nectarine, 250ml passion fruit juice or tropical fruit juice.
