We have this buffet table between our kitchen space and dining. It always has a cluttered look. The everyday items are placed on this table such as plates, bowls, cutlery, sugar, honey, sauces, medicine box. The cutlery and plates stand is fixed just above the buffet table.
The food when ready is also kept here But when guests arrive. All this is cleared and only the essentials for the day are retained.
We find this buffet table quite handy and practical.

I have plates and everything else is stored in the closet, dear friend …. I never have guests at home …. if I prefer to have a party at a restaurant
We have guests not just for eating they stay as well
I don’t have a special table but do have an island in the kitchen. It is so easy for it to get cluttered. That is one thing I’m fixing to tackle: is the clutter in my house.
Clutter is an indication that there is life (lol)
I have too small an apartment at such a table.
We had a small flat when we were living in the city.
We have a wooden (oak wood) buffet. It’s got drawers and cupboards. But it is used as interior design in the lounge. But hubby leaves his cameras on it and in the cupboards. Frustrating when I only put a vase of fresh flowers and framed photos.
Since you say it is in the lounge you must be using it when you have guests. We use ours every day
No we don’t use it to serve food, appetizers… etc. Just as part of our interior design. I use our benchtop in the kitchen to serve “buffet” (food) with or without guests.
The buffet table sounds really useful! I don’t think it’s cluttered, as you just put what you usually need there. We don’t have a buffet table at home.
Thanks. I think it needs a bit more of organisation
