Love ItLove It

One Man's Treasure Another Man's Junk

My sister came up today to take Bro to his doctor’s appointment. She brought up some things she found at Dad’s house to see if I wanted them. Some of them had good memories and others were bad. The shirt made me laugh because that is really how he was most of the time and it was a shirt I bought for him! She didn’t know I had bought it. (I thought she was with me when I bought it.) He clearly never wore it.

I am not certain that anyone in my family will wear it. I can’t just throw it away. It really was a memory for me. (Odd what matters today may mean nothing tomorrow.)

  1. I love that shirt. Now, why couldn’t you wear it? After the sudden passing of my soul mate, I arrived in Florida at my friend’s house and in my suitcase I had packed two of my late husband’s short-sleeved flannel shirts. I have no idea why but they are hanging in my closet. Most likely because of the memories and perhaps even scent It is a wonder what we find and what we keep.
