I enjoy each day as it comes, but some days seem more special than others. The days I spend outdoors with nature are very special to me. Yesterday we drove down to a lake and a park surrounding it and it was lovely to watch the beauty around.
As I observed the people there, many of them seemed caught up in their own world. Some were having strong arguments on their phone while others were bent on beating their own records, running like they were on race tracks, then there were others who had come with friends having their own fun and games, while some came there for the sole purpose of exercise and then there were the never ending selfie people hugging trees and [posing like they were in the movies.
There were a few who enjoyed the scenery around them, breathed in the fresh air , took pictures of nature ( not selfies) and walked like they had all the time in the world. We did that too. We stopped in the middle because there was a huge ruckus up there on the trees. The grey herons did not seem too happy with the crows disturbing the young ones (maybe just eggs right now) in their nests. They chased away the crows at such speeds that it was difficult to get pictures of the scene.
Watching them fight in midair was so much fan. We ( hubs and I) laughed, relaxed, enjoyed the scenery and walked 7.3 km. as we did all this. Then it was just time for dinner and bed.

I love weekends because working with people with Alzheimer’s during the week is difficult and tiring.
I enjoy nature. I visited the lake today.
Nature and free time sound too good. 🙂
Great photo and a relaxing weekend.
That’s a wonderful and relaxing way to spend the weekend!
